Snake Gourd, also known as Chichinda and Potlakaya, is an elongated and cylindrical-shaped vegetable measuring 2 to 5 feet in length and weighs around 250g. They have a diameter of 5 to 5.5cm. They have a smooth and waxy surface with vibrant green-colored skin which turns white as they age with a watery and crisp flesh much like cucumber. Snake gourd has a mild and slightly sweet taste. Snake Gourd is used in curries, and stuffed dishes such as with peri peri spice blend, or tomato-based gravy. It ends up as a great choice for chutneys and appetizers.
